Most residential pools are NOT designed for diving. A diving pool is anything deeper than 3 meters (10 feet). Even though it may “seem” deep, depth perception is impaired when a pool is filled, and we therefore suggest stepping into the pool and physically confirming the depth before deciding to dive; chances are, the pool will be less than 2 meters.
These are the recommended pool water chemistry parameters:
- Chlorine - 1-3 ppm
- pH - 7.2-7.8
- Total Alkalinity - 70-200 ppm
- Cyanuric Acid - 0-200 ppm
- TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) - 100-1500 ppm
- Calcium Hardness - 100-500 ppm
Are you allergic to chlorine or simply dislike the taste/smell? You can convert almost any pool or water feature from using conventional chlorine to a non-chlorine system, either via the process of ionization or salt conversion. Call us for more details.
